ABOUT THE KID CONNECTION
Located in McKinney, TX, The Kid Connection offers a holistic approach to learning, growing, healing, and overcoming academic roadblocks.
We provide in-person, wrap-around support for children across the DFW area. By providing comprehensive, yet affordable educational evaluations and assessments, as well as individualized tutoring, counseling, behavioral support, and advocacy, our team can prioritize and successfully address the individual needs of each child we serve.
It is our core belief that, in-order to achieve academic and social emotional growth and success, kids need to feel valued, respected, supported, and safe. Together, we will partner with you to develop a plan that supports your child’s unique needs, focuses on their strengths, and fosters independence and self-advocacy as they grow.

TKC UNIVERSITY
Our three-day university model program for children in grades 1-8. Taught by certified teachers with a mission to create confident kids, TKCU offers a personalized approach to educating today’s youth.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT
We believe that creating a confident kid is the key to academic success. If your child is struggling in school we are here to help.
TKC currently offers: Dyslexia Therapy, One on One tutoring in Reading and Writing, Math, Science, History, and small group Study Labs. -
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL
At The Kid Connection we take a whole child approach to education and wellness. Included in that is a child’s social-emotional well being.
For some kids life can be overwhelming. Knowing how to make friends , manage emotions, understand boundaries and/or how to respond to conflict are just a few of the many hurdles our children face.
TKC offers play therapy, individual/ family counseling, social skills classes, behavioral support and so much more. -
CAMP
Teachers at The Kid Connection work hard to make learning a fun experience.
Our Educational Summer Day Camps or Holiday Mini-Camps make learning come to life in a fun and interactive way.

Courtney started working with my 10 year old son last year for dyslexia tutoring. We hired Courtney to not only help our kiddos navigate a new educational structure after COVID-19, but also as an advocate for our 504 and IEP planning. She is a God send! My son attended reading camp last week. He looked forward to it everyday because he was so engaged in the curriculum! Courtney knows how to motivate these children to challenge themselves and push through difficult tasks. She nicknamed my son mighty max and the other campers called him that too. He felt confident and accomplished with his reading growth which is something that he struggled with this school year. On top if the great camp experience, she worked with me to pencil out a plan to keep him on this positive trajectory. Courtney is skilled at identifying the challenges of the individual and creating a learning plan that fits the child. Highly recommend!!
